Suffers setback in recovery

December 5, 2022
McArthur (groin) suffered a setback in his recovery from injury, manager Patrick Viera informed Saturday. "They will travel with the rest of the squad to Turkey. It's taking a little bit more time, a step back. But both of them are coming to Turkey with the rest of the team and working with the physios in the gym and hopefully Nathan (Ferguson) can maybe be the one who can start a little bit more early than (McArthur)."
ANALYSIS
McArthur has yet to feature this season and now his participation when the Premier League resumes at the end of December could be put into question. He recorded three assists in 21 appearances (15 starts) during the 2021/22 campaign while also dealing with a few injuries.
