Holgate played 51 minutes during Tuesday's 4-1 loss to Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup but had a small issue with his knee, according to manager Frank Lampard.
ANALYSIS
Holgate got the start on the right side of a back-three, making his first appearance since before picking up his knee issue. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he's completely healthy yet despite being in the squad for the past few weeks. For now, he remains a bench option behind Conor Coady and James Tarkowski in a back four.

Holgate has suffered a knee injury during Saturday's match against Brentford and according to Frank Lampard. "He's opened up his knee and felt some pain so we are going to scan it in the next day or so. The feeling is it will be weeks, maximum, we hope, but may take him out of the next couple of games. I don't want to jump the gun too much on that but hopefully it's not a really bad injury."
