Agren has joined USL side Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on a season-long loan from the Earthquakes, the club announced Thursday.

Agren made three MLS appearances (all starts) for San Jose last season in central defense during his rookie campaign out of Clemson University, but the recent arrivals of Jonathan Mensah and Rodrigues have increased the competition in the position. The 24-year-old Agren is now moving on-loan to Switchbacks in the USL for the rest of 2023.
