Smith, who missed the 2024 season with a torn ACL, rushed 13 times for 37 yards and failed to bring in his only target during the Defenders' 18-11 win over the Stallions in Week 1.

ANALYSIS
The hard-charging back was able to prove his health during training camp, and interim head coach Shannon Harris entrusted Smith with a solid workload right out of the gate. While the Stallions' talented defense unsurprisingly made running room scarce, Smith's ability to apparently handle a lead-back role bodes well for his prospects moving forward. He'll look to put together a more efficient performance in a Saturday night matchup against the Showboats.
