McGough completed 10 of 23 passes for 89 yards with one touchdown and one interception and rushed eight times for 84 yards in the Stallions' 18-11 loss to the Defenders on Sunday. He also completed a two-point conversion pass.

ANALYSIS
McGough's rough passing line underscores how much rust he needed to work off in his return to spring football and the quarterback position specifically. McGough had spent 2024 working as a receiver on the Packers' practice squad in the NFL, and he appeared to particularly struggle with pocket awareness and processing reads at times versus an aggressive Gregg Williams-led Defenders defense. McGough did connect with CJ Marable for his one touchdown pass (12 yards) early in the second quarter and then hit Marlon Williams for a successful two-point try, and he'll look to have a smoother outing with another week of practice under his belt when Birmingham visits the Panthers for a Week 2 Friday night showdown.
