Mickens brought in three of seven targets for 17 yards, returned one kickoff for 18 yards and ran back three punts for 34 yards during the Defenders' 24-21 loss to the Roughnecks in Week 9.
ANALYSIS
Mickens wasn't very efficient with his opportunities, but he turned in a serviceable all-around performance when factoring in his work on special teams. The well-traveled veteran didn't play pro football at any level in 2024 after spending time with the Raiders, Jaguars, Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers and Giants over the previous eight NFL seasons, but he's been a solid complementary contributor to the Defenders' high-powered air attack with a 19-208 receiving line to date. Mickens has also made his mark as a returner, accruing 444 total yards running back kicks and punts.
