2025 Fantasy Outlook
Ogunbowale immediately emerged as one of the league's top scorers upon entering the WNBA in 2019, and she had a career-high 19.2 field-goal and 8.5 three-point attempts per game in 2024, averaging 22.2 points, 5.1 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 2.1 steals in 38.6 minutes over 38 regular-season appearances. While the Wings struggled as a team, Ogunbowale was one of the league's top fantasy options, and she'll play as part of a new-look lineup in 2025 after Dallas lost Satou Sabally and Natasha Howard during the offseason. Although the Wings are expected to draft guard Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, Ogunbowale should remain heavily involved in the backcourt and should be targeted in the first round of most fantasy drafts. Ogunbowale is dealing with a thumb issue, Joey Mistretta of ClutchPoints.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Ogunbowale sat out practice on Tuesday, with head coach Chris Koclanes stating that the Wings were awaiting another update from the medical team. With this news, Ogunbowale's status for Thursday's game against the Mercury is now in jeopardy. If she's forced to miss time, the Wings would need Paige Bueckers (knee) to soak up even more usage.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
2022
Ogunbowale has been a superstar in the WNBA since debuting in 2019, and her playing time increased during the 2023 campaign. She played a career-high 37.2 minutes per game and averaged 21.2 points to go with a career-high 4.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.7 steals while appearing in every matchup. The 26-year-old tied for the league lead with 8.5 three-point attempts per game and made 2.9 per game, the third-best mark in the league. While Ogunbowale will remain with the Wings over the next few seasons, the team faces a significant decision in the offseason with Satou Sabally. It seems unlikely that Sabally will play elsewhere next season since the team has extended her a restricted qualifying offer, but Ogunbowale could see even more usage if Sabally is in a different uniform in 2024. Regardless of Sabally’s status, Ogunbowale has established herself as one of the league’s top contributors. She’s missed more than one game in a season just once in her career and is a safe pick in the early stages of fantasy drafts ahead of the 2024 campaign.
Ogunbowale has settled into her primary role as a scorer, leading the league in shot attempts for the second time in the last three seasons with 17.0 per game. She still struggles with efficiency from inside the arc, but Ogunbowale relied on her deep shot more than ever last season, attempting a career-high 7.9 three-point tries per contest. The fourth-year guard missed more action than she typically does last season, which resulted in a slightly lower fantasy rank overall, but her per-game and per-36 numbers were in line with previous campaigns. Ogunbowale should remain a focal point in the offense heading into 2023 but will have a new-look backcourt with Marina Mabrey dealt to Chicago. Crystal Dangerfield and Veronica Burton are the team's top options to fill that void. Offsetting the lost offensive production of Mabrey is Natasha Howard, who figures to claim a hefty usage rate as well.
Ogunbowale signed a multi-year extension with the Wings this offseason after leading the team in points and assists in each of her first three seasons in the WNBA. Last year, the 24-year-old forward shot a career-low 38.3 percent from the field but a career-high 37.6 percent from three (6.7 attempts per game). She's never been an overly efficient offense weapon, but she has been extremely prolific during her time with the Wings, including scoring 20-plus points 18 times during the 2021 campaign. Dallas will return their entire rotation from last season and added Teaira McCowan via trade this offseason, so they are expected to operate similarly to 2021, which should once again mean plenty of opportunities for Ogunbowale.
