Struggles with consistency in 2024
Dangerfield averaged 3.2 points, 1.9 assists, 1.1 rebounds, 0.3 steals and 0.2 blocks across 13.4 minutes per game in 33 appearances (10 starts) during the 2024 season.
ANALYSIS
Dangerfield was acquired by the Dream via trade prior to the 2024 season. In her short tenure with the club, she averaged 3.1 points, 1.7 assists and 1.1 rebounds across 14.1 minutes per game in 15 outings. However, she never found a consistent role with the club and the Dream let her go June 26th. This allowed the guard to join the Sparks on a seven-day hardship contract by July 4th. The 26-year-old ended up signing three seven-day hardship contracts with the club before eventually joining the team on a rest-of-season hardship contract. During her 18-game stint with the Sparks, Dangerfield averaged 3.3 points, 2.0 assists and 1.0 rebounds across 12.7 minutes per game. The seven-year veteran will hit the free agency market in hopes of latching on to a team before the start of the 2025 season.

Dangerfield finished her first campaign in Dallas with her best season-long averages since her rookie year in 2020, when she burst onto the scene averaging 16.2 points, 3.6 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 30.0 minutes per game across 21 appearances (19 starts) for Minnesota. She didn't quite match those numbers in 2023, averaging 8.2 points, 3.1 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 0.9 steals across 35 appearances (32 starts), but it was still good enough for her to flirt with top-50 status. She appeared to be in position to compete for a starting role in the Wings' backcourt to begin the 2024 season but was traded to Atlanta in early May. Dangerfield's role with the Dream will presumably depend on whether Jordin Canada moves past her hand injury to begin the regular season and how the workload is distributed between Dangerfield and Haley Jones. However, if Canada is healthy early in the regular season, Dangerfield could see her production regress slightly with her new team.
