2025 Fantasy Outlook
After a stellar rookie season in 2022, Howard has failed to take her game to the next level in back-to-back seasons. However, the 2022 No. 1 overall pick remains an elite producer, averaging at least 16 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal and two three-pointers per game in each of her first three WNBA seasons. Atlanta added Brionna Jones and swapped Tina Charles for Brittney Griner this offseason while retaining Jordin Canada and Allisha Gray. After back-to-back first-round exits, the revamped Dream have high hopes for 2025, but Howard will have to take a leap into superstardom if they're going to achieve their lofty goals. She certainly has the potential to return first-round value, but her lack of statistical progression makes her a safer option in the second or third rounds of fantasy drafts. Read Past Outlooks

Scores 16 in defeat
Howard posted 16 points (7-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 39 minutes during Thursday's 87-85 Game 3 loss to the Fever.
ANALYSIS
Howard wasn't particularly efficient from beyond the arc during Thursday's matchup, but she was the only player on the team to record multiple steals in the narrow season-ending loss. The 25-year-old's production remained steady in most areas during her fourth professional season, but she improved as a passer and took more attempts from beyond the arc. In total, she averaged 17.5 points, 4.6 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 3.1 made three-pointers in 34.9 minutes per game across 33 appearances (32 starts). Howard will be a restricted free agent this winter, and the Dream will likely make it a priority to bring her back in 2026.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Howard impressed during her rookie season after being selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft, and she improved in most areas in 2023. The 23-year-old averaged 17.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 32.9 minutes per game over 39 appearances, all improvements from the 2022 campaign. While she also improved slightly by shooting 38.5 percent from the field, she converted 44.0 percent of her field-goal attempts over her four seasons at Kentucky and will be able to take another step in her professional career if she can shoot closer to that mark in 2024. The Dream improved in 2023 and qualified for the playoffs behind efforts from Howard, Allisha Gray and Cheyenne Parker, but Howard should have every opportunity to remain the focal point for the team next season, even after the Dream brought in Tina Charles during the offseason. Howard has posted just two double-doubles over her first two seasons in the league but generates well-rounded stat lines consistently. She's lived up to her lofty expectations early in her career and could take another step forward in 2024.
