Sutton made her WNBA debut in 2020 but was out of the league for two seasons before landing a training camp deal with the Mercury ahead of the 2023 campaign. She earned a roster spot with Phoenix and managed to carve out a fairly sizable role, averaging 8.2 points, 4.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 26.3 minutes per game over 40 appearances (12 starts). The Mercury have extended a reserved qualifying offer to her ahead of the 2024 season, but if she returns to Phoenix in 2024, she'll have several new teammates to compete with for playing time, as the team brought in Kahleah Copper and Natasha Cloud. Her role elsewhere would be somewhat murkier, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the 25-year-old at least be able to see consistent bench minutes in 2024, regardless of where she's playing. ANALYSIS
Sutton began the 2024 campaign with the Mercury, where she averaged 2.9 points, 2.4 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 14.9 minutes per game over 22 regular-season appearances off the bench. She also played exclusively off the bench after joining the Mystics but was less productive, averaging 0.6 points and 1.4 assists in 7.3 minutes per game over seven outings. She seems likely to return to Washington in 2025 since the team will have exclusive negotiating rights with her during the offseason, but she'll have to improve her production if she hopes to carry much fantasy value in 2025.
