Closer Watch

Oakland Athletics – Tyler Clippard was able to lock down his 14th save of the season for the Athletics, pitching 1.1 innings, while striking out two batters on Wednesday. Clippard has been a solid fixture in the late innings for the A's, although it might be a great time to consider selling him in your leagues. Clippard is a free agent in 2016 and if the A's don't get back into the playoff race soon, GM Billy Beane could sell Clippard off to the highest bidder, which may just be a club that's looking to shore up their seventh and/or eighth innings.

Recommended Pickup

Mitch Moreland, 1B, TEX – Okay, so maybe you've been hiding out like a turtle in his shell the last week or so. And maybe you haven't, but you're just not taking Moreland seriously. Well, Moreland deserves attention in all formats right now, especially with his massive homer-binge that he's been on. Yeah, that's right… massive. As of June 25, Moreland has SIX home runs. You read that correctly, six home runs. Sure, the binge will end at some point but you've got to add him while you can. It's not like Moreland is just coming on at this point, as he's putting up this line to this point: .305 AVG, 26 R, 14 HR and 43 RBI. Get Moreland while you can.
