Noelvi Marte

The Reds optioned Marte to Triple-A Louisville to begin 2025 after he struggled mightily in 2024 following his return from a PED suspension. Upon his return to the majors, Marte made an immediate impact with a 1.127 OPS in his first 13 big-league games of the season. A Grade 2 left oblique strain put Marte on the shelf shortly thereafter, costing him close to two months. He continued to play well following his activation from the IL before hitting the skids in September, with the slump costing him a bit of playing time down the stretch. Through 191 career games across parts of three seasons, Marte has put up 21 homers to go along with 25 steals, offering a glimpse of what could be for the former top prospect.
