Colby Thomas

Thomas has put up some gaudy minor league statisticas over the past three seasons, but that has not yet translated to much major league success. Thomas hit 31 homers with a .277 average between Double-A and Triple-A in 2024 and hit .291/.366/.529 with 18 homers in Las Vegas around some back and forth callups to Sacramento. Thomas hit .225/.267/.417 with the Athletics with farr too many strikeouts as he struck out 49 times in 120 at bats. He has show the ability to make hard contact and has the athleticsm to many all three spots in the outfield, but is best used at a corner spot where his arm strenth is a deterrent to opponents attempting to take the extra base. If Thomas cannot make better contact at the big league level, he is going to be limited to a reserve outfield role and a short-sided one at that. All 6 of his home runs came against lefties while he had just 1 walk against 24 strikeouts against righties in 59 at bats. Read Past Outlooks
