Williams spent the past two years as a swingman for the Cubs and Mets, and he was a reliable option with a 3.21 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 84:23 K:BB across 89.2 innings during 2022. The right-hander landed a two-year deal with the Nationals and is poised to move back into the rotation, where he spent the first four seasons of his big-league career.
