Minter's 2024 season was plagued by a recurring hip injury that ultimately required season-ending surgery last August. The southpaw's results were fairly typical, as he produced solid ratios and an above-average 26.1 K-rate, but his strikeouts dipped by 5.4 percent compared to 2023 and he lost velocity (-1.3 mph) on his four-seam fastball. As a result, Minter generated fewer whiffs, which has been a consistent trend with the pitch since 2022.
