Ryan would be a very buzzy prospect for 2025 had he not needed Tommy John surgery Aug. 25 after an impressive first few starts in the big-league rotation. A converted infielder who first started pitching professionally in 2022, Ryan has high-end stuff, boasting a 96-mph four-seamer, plus slider and plus curveball. He's behind on the finer points of pitching, and his surgery is set to cost him the entire 2025 season.
