After a few strong seasons, Wisdom fell off in 2024. Injuries played a part, as the 33-year-old had a delayed start to his year due to a back issue that hampered him during spring training. However, Chicago also got deeper at the corner infield and outfield spots, which is where Wisdom spends most of his time. With the likes of Cody Bellinger, Michael Busch and Isaac Paredes in the infield, as well as Seiya Suzuki and Ian Happ in the outfield, Wisdom's role was reduced last season, and the Cubs ended up letting him go in the offseason. At his best, the veteran provides good power, as he tallied 76 home runs from 2021 through 2023. He slipped to just eight long balls across 75 games last season, and his OPS fell more than 100 points from a year earlier. He likely would have had to settle for a minor-league deal stateside, so Wisdom elected to continue his career with the Kia Tigers of the Korea Baseball Organization. Read Past Outlooks
