Taylor was shipped from the Brewers to the Mets in December of 2023 and played in a career-high 130 games last season, though a lot of that action came off the bench as he made just 76 starts. He was a decent contributor for a No. 4 outfielder and finished 2024 with a .700 OPS and 11 steals in 345 plate appearances, though his seven homers and .153 ISO were a drop in his power production. The Mets added Juan Soto and Jose Siri to an outfield that already included Brandon Nimmo and Starling Marte, so Taylor's role as a reserve outfielder in 2025 is likely to have less volume.
