Bannon made his big-league debut for the Orioles last season and played in just four games. He was designated for assignment in August and bounced around three other teams before he landed in Houston during the offseason. The 26-year-old had a solid showing at the Triple-A level last year with a .249/.367/.421 slash line, 13 home runs and 10 steals in 99 games. The Astros' starting infield is locked in, but the utility role should be up for grabs following the departure of Aledmys Diaz.
