2023 Fantasy Outlook
Trejo shuttled between Triple-A Albuquerque and Colorado through August before being called up for good when rosters expanded to 28 players. He had a solid season for the Isotopes, slashing .296/.331/551 in 293 plate appearances, covering 67 games. With the Rockies, he posted .291/.341/.468 down the stretch. Trejo doesn't hit the ball hard and he fans at an elevated clip. Both lines were boosted by a BABIP driven by a high, likely unsustainable line drive rate. Trejo played mostly shortstop, with some time at second and third in both the majors and minors last season. He's earmarked to do the same this year, with a chance to break camp as the Rockies primary utility infielder. He has no mixed league appeal, but Trejo is in play for NL-only formats, just be ready for the likely batting average regression. Read Past Outlooks
