2025 Projections
Optioned to Triple-A
Frasso (shoulder) was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Frasso is still recovering from procedures on his right shoulder and right hip, and he's not expected to be ready to pitch until late in the season. Once healthy, he'll likely return to the mound at Oklahoma City, with whom he produced a 3.26 ERA and 1.36 WHIP with 13 strikeouts over 19.1 innings in four starts last season.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
There were other players involved, but the Dodgers essentially sent Mitch White to Toronto for Frasso at the deadline last year. It seemed like they targeted Frasso specifically, as he has excellent stuff, but has struggled to stay healthy. Dating back to when he was a freshman at Loyola Marymount in 2018, Frasso has not thrown more than 60 innings in a season. That alone might be enough to pigeonhole him as a likely reliever. A gangly 6-foot-5 righty, Frasso has three plus pitches in his fastball, slider and changeup. He struck out 76 in 54 innings last year across Single-A, High-A and Double-A. Frasso only struggled when he was at an age-appropriate level (Double-A), where he gave up seven runs and walked seven in 11.2 innings across four starts. Having three plus pitches and ridiculous extension/deceptiveness is a nice place to start, but the rest of the factors that would allow Frasso to pitch in a fantasy-friendly role seem to be absent.
