Rest-of-Season Projections
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Gonzalez spent the first four months of 2022 in the minors but joined the White Sox in mid-August and enjoyed a brief run as a lineup regular. The 26-year-old got off to a hot start with an .856 OPS in his first 15 games, but he hit only .122 the rest of the way. He also struggled at the Triple-A level last season with a .620 OPS and 33.3 percent strikeout rate, and he doesn't stand out defensively. Gonzalez could see some chances in 2023 as a utility infielder for Chicago, but the team will likely be in trouble if he's seeing consistent starts. Read Past Outlooks

Maintains home run streak
Gonzalez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, one double, an additional RBI, an additional run scored and one steal in Tuesday's 7-3 victory over the Angels.
ANALYSIS
Gonzalez continued his tear at the plate, swatting his third home run in as many games while also swiping his third bag of the season. Since being activated from the IL on May 13, Gonzalez owns a .323 average with three homers, 11 RBI and six runs scored. Though his recent play has been quite encouraging, Gonzalez will likely return to a backup role upon the return of Elvis Andrus (oblique), which is expected to come later this week.
