Rest-of-Season Projections
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Haggerty began the season with Triple-A Tacoma, but strong play earned him a spot back on the 40-man roster and a few first half big league stints. Haggerty was called up for good in late June, playing through some nagging injuries including forehead, shoulder, finger and groin issues. Working mostly in a utility capacity, but also starting from some stretches, Haggerty posted a career-best .738 OPS. His biggest fantasy contribution was 13 steals in 14 attempts. Haggerty's 26.4% strikeout rate is too high for a player with a below average exit velocity and Hard Hit rate. Haggerty's defensive flexibility and speed should keep him on the Mariners as a reserve, but he'd be exposed with regular playing. Read Past Outlooks

Productive in spot start
Haggerty went 1-for-3 with a two-run double, a walk and a run in an win over the Athletics on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
The valued utility asset slotted into the No. 9 hole in place of Ty France (wrist) and delivered nicely, doubling home the first two runs of the game for Seattle in the fourth inning. Haggerty has scuffled at the plate all season and is carrying a .162 average and .478 OPS across his first 42 plate appearances, but the unusual combination of an especially low .222 BABIP and elevated 25.9 percent line-drive rate imply he's had his fair share of bad luck when putting the ball in play. With France potentially set to miss "a few days" per the team's official site, Haggerty could be in line for at least another spot start or two.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
A 24th-round pick by Cleveland in 2015, Haggerty was shipped to the Mets in January of 2019 and finally got his first call-up that September. However, he did not get much of a look -- Haggerty appeared in 11 games in 2019 but only logged four PA -- and he was eventually designated for assignment, landing with the Mariners via a waiver claim. Haggerty began 2020 at the alternate site and had to wait until Aug. 16 for a promotion. Haggerty showed off his speed with two steals in his first game in a Mariners uniform, but his performance was predictably trending south when he was placed on the injured list Sept. 7 with a left forearm strain, ending his season. For now, Haggerty remains on the 40-man roster. At close to 27, he looks likely to max out as a utility player.
