DraftKings NBA: Thursday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Slate Overview

LAL at PHI (-1.5), O/U: 217.5

MIN at GSW (-5.5), O/U: 228

The Timberwolves-Warriors matchup is expected to be the higher-scoring one of the night.

Stephen Curry is the only player priced above $6,000 on the Warriors' side, while Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson come with very modest price tags considering their roles as key scorers. Otto Porter and Jonathan Kuminga stand out as good value picks, as they will get extra playing time with Draymond Green sidelined.

On the Timberwolves' side, Karl-Anthony Towns has an advantage against the Warriors' shorthanded frontcourt, and he comes with a modest, sub-$10,000 price tag. Anthony Edwards and D'Angelo Russell have both been playing well and make strong mid-priced selections. Patrick Beverley and Jaylen Nowell are listed as questionable, and would both make good value picks if ready to go. If either of them are sidelined, look for Malik Beasley to pick up a boost.

Injuries to Monitor

Danny Green (hip): Questionable
Shake Milton (back), Seth Curry (ankle): OUT

Furkan Korkmaz will pick up another start if Green remains out. Isaiah Joe and Georges Niang are also up for extra minutes.

Patrick Beverley (ankle), Jaylen Nowell (lower body): Questionable

Malik Beasley will see more opportunity if Beverley and/or Nowell are out.

Andre Iguodala (hip), Draymond Green (calf): OUT

Otto Porter is expected to start in place of Green. Jonathan Kuminga and Nemanja Bjelica are also in line for a boost.

Elite Players

Guards

Stephen Curry ($10,300)

Curry has been relatively quiet lately, averaging 21.0 points on 37 percent shooting, 5.9 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.2 steals over the last 10 games. He topped 40 DK points six times over that span, but he is due for a scoring outburst.

Anthony Edwards ($8,100)

Edwards is coming off a huge outing, where he logged 65.3 points. He topped 40 DK points five times over the last 10 games and is a go-to option for the Timberwolves on offense.

Forwards/Centers

LeBron James ($11,100)

James is coming off a massive outing, where he logged 61.8 DK points. He topped 43 DK points in each of the last 10 games, including six contests where he topped 54 DK points.

Tobias Harris ($7,300)

Harris is coming off a season-high 33-point performance, where he amassed 57.3 DK points. Harris topped 36 DK points in seven of the last 10 games.

Joel Embiid ($11,400)

Embiid has been on an absolute tear, averaging 35.2 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 blocks, over the last 10 games. He topped 60 DK points in each of the last four games, and he topped 50 DK points in eight of the last 10 games.

Expected Chalk

Karl-Anthony Towns ($9,200)

Towns should have a significant advantage against the Warriors' frontcourt that is without Draymond Green. Towns topped 40 DK points in nine of the last 10 games, including three contests where he topped 50 DK points. Towns is averaging 21.5 points and 11.0 rebounds through two games against the Warriors so far this season.

Value Picks

Malik Monk ($4,500)

Monk has been playing great lately, averaging 14.9 points on 49 percent shooting, 4.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists over the last 10 games.

Malik Beasley ($3,600)

Beasley is averaging 8.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists over the last 10 games. He will have a shot at additional playing time if either Jaylen Nowell or Patrick Beverley are sidelined.

Furkan Korkmaz ($4,800)

Korkmaz topped 20 DK points in four of the last five games, and he will continue to pick up extended playing time for the 76ers' shorthanded backcourt.

Jonathan Kuminga ($4,500)

Kuminga logged 29.8 DK points in the Warriors' last game, and he has topped 20 DK points in five of the last eight games. He will continue to have an opportunity to pick up extra playing time, as Draymond Green remains sidelined.

Andre Drummond ($3,800)

Drummond is averaging 5.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.4 steals over the last 10 games, and he topped 19 DK points five times over that span.
