Clippers Clash With Grizzlies For Second Straight Game
The Memphis Grizzlies play host to the Los Angeles Clippers at FedEx Forum on Friday evening.

This marks the second of back-to-back meetings between the Clippers and Grizzlies in Memphis, after the Clippers walked away with an impressive, 141-132, win in their game on Wednesday. Despite missing Kawhi Leonard (personal) and Paul George (knee), Russell Westbrook stepped up with 36 points to lead the way for the Clippers. The Grizzlies jumped to a quick 13-point lead in the game, but the Clippers cut it to a one-point difference after one quarter. The visitors kept the momentum going and rallied to a six-point advantage by halftime. The Grizzlies bounced back in the third and tied it up at 105, heading into the final frame, but the Clippers reclaimed control mid way through the fourth and held on to close out their second straight win.

Westbrook tallied four rebounds, 10 assists and two blocks to go with his game-high 36 points. Robert Covington followed up with 27 points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals, while Bones Hyland added 20 points, five rebounds, six assists, a steal and a block. Warriors Host Spurs on Friday
The Golden State Warriors play host to the San Antonio Spurs at Chase Center on Friday.

The Spurs (19-57) come into this matchup losing five straight and seven of their last eight games in total. Stretches like this have been common all season, and it's clear San Antonio wants to finish with the worst record in the NBA. Having the most lottery balls is more important than any other year because Victor Wemenyama looks like a generational player at the top of the draft board. The Spurs continue to rest players every night to land that spot, and they now sit 14th in the west. There are still two teams behind them, though, with the Houston Rockets back 1.5 games and the Detroit Pistons behind by three games. It'll be tough to catch those guys with how they've been playing but don't look for many wins from any of them in these closing 10 days.

The Warriors (40-37) come into this matchup winning four of their last five games. That's a scary sight for the rest of the NBA because the defending champs have been struggling to find their footing all season. What's kept them alive is their ridiculous home form, posting a 31-8 record at Chase Center this year. That does bring up the issue, though, because their 9-29 road record is truly embarrassing. It's strange to see that from a championship contender, but the recent hot streak has moved the Warriors up the Western Conference standings. Golden State is now sixth in the west, but they have four teams within two games behind them.

Golden State has won the first two matchups in this season series, winning both games by at least 31 points.

Blazers Host Kings on Friday
The Portland Trail Blazers play host to the Sacramento Kings at Moda Center on Friday.

The Kings (46-30) grabbed a blowout win over these Blazers on Wednesday, and that marked two huge milestones for this team. Keegan Murray set the rookie record of three-pointers in a season, but more importantly, this club clinched a playoff berth! This team hasn't made the postseason in 17 years, and it's quite a testament to this young core to climb so high. Sacramento sits third in the west, and they're only two games behind the Memphis Grizzlies in second. It's hard to believe that a team that hasn't made the postseason in two decades will have homecourt, but it's a present for these dedicated fans that have been waiting for this moment.

The Trail Blazers (32-44) come into this matchup losing 10 of their last 11 games. They've also thrown in the white flag, sitting Damian Lillard, Jusuf Nurkic, Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons for the remainder of the season. They've also lost three of the last four games by at least 28 points, and it's going to be tough for this dismantled roster to win a game over the final six outings. The only silver lining is that Shaedon Sharpe is getting some time to develop as the primary playmaker. He had 30 points, seven rebounds and seven assists on Wednesday and truly looks like a building piece for the future. It's sad that's what this season has turned into, but Portland fans are getting used to it.

These teams just played on Wednesday, with Sacramento riding a 70-34 second half to a 120-80 win. They now have four wins in their last six meetings with Portland.

Suns Host Nuggets on Friday
The Phoenix Suns play host to the Denver Nuggets at Footprint Center on Friday.

The Nuggets (51-25) come into this matchup winning four of their last five games, and they've all but locked up the top spot in the Western Conference. This club had high expectations at the beginning of the season, but no one could have seen this coming. Denver is now 3.5 games clear of the Memphis Grizzlies in second, and three more wins will secure them homecourt advantage throughout the Western Conference playoffs. That's a huge deal for this team, too, because the Nuggets own a 31-7 record at Ball Arena. That's one of the best marks in the league, but their 19-18 road record could be better. As long as Nikola Jokic is out there providing his usual 30-point triple-doubles, this team could beat anyone.

The Suns (41-35) come into this matchup amid a three-game winning streak. One of their most impressive wins of the season happened on Wednesday, holding off a scorching-hot Minnesota Timberwolves team. Most importantly, they got Kevin Durant back from his ankle issue and got that win, despite the superstar struggling. That victory also moved the Suns up to fourth in the west, holding the tiebreaker over the Los Angeles Clippers. Those two teams are also 1.5 games clear of the play-in spots, and that's one of the major goals for both of these teams. As long as KD, Devin Booker and Chris Paul are healthy, this is a team no one wants to face in the postseason.

This is the third and final meeting between these teams, with Denver winning the first two games.
