Heat Stun Nuggets In Denver
The Miami Heat defeated the host Denver Nuggets, 111-108, in Game 2 of the NBA Finals at Ball Arena on Sunday evening.

The Heat jumped out to a 10-2 start and held on to a three-point advantage heading into the second quarter. The Nuggets turned up their play and outscored the visitors 34-25 in the quarter to earn a six-point lead by halftime. The Heat started the third with a rally to tie it up at 66, but the hosts reclaimed control and pushed it to an eight-point game heading into the final quarter. The Heat started the fourth with another run, outscoring the Nuggets 15-2 to take a five-point lead with nine minutes left. The Nuggets kept battling, but the Heat did not let up and came up clutch to close out the road win. The series is now tied at 1-1, heading back to Miami.

Gabe Vincent led the Heat with 23 points, three assists and two steals, in 32 minutes. Bam Adebayo tallied 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks, while Jimmy Butler finished with 21 points, four rebounds and nine assists. The Heat shot 48.7 percent from the field, including 17-of-35 from long range.

Meanwhile, Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 41 points, 11 rebounds and four assists, in 42 minutes. Jamal Murray followed up with 18 points, four rebounds, 10 assists and a steal, while Aaron Gordon added 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a block. The Nuggets shot 52 percent from the field, including 11-of-28 from deep.

Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday in Miami.
