2025 Fantasy Outlook
Furphy enters 2025-26 looking to build on a solid rookie season. He averaged 2.1 points, 1.4 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.4 steals, 0.2 blocks and 0.3 three-pointers in limited minutes. Though his role was small, he showed promise in the G League, posting 14.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks per game, which better reflects his all-around skill set. The Pacers' offseason has dramatically shifted the landscape, as franchise cornerstone Tyrese Haliburton will miss the entire 2025-26 season following an Achilles injury. That loss opens up touches, minutes and playmaking responsibilities across Indiana's roster, creating potential opportunities for players like Furphy to carve out a steadier role. With Pascal Siakam, Bennedict Mathurin and Andrew Nembhard set to handle the bulk of the offense, Furphy could slot in as an energetic complementary piece who spaces the floor and defends multiple positions. His rebounding ability and defensive activity give him a pathway to meaningful minutes on the wing. Fantasy-wise, he remains more of a deep-league flier than a standard-league asset, but the combination of Indiana's need for secondary production and his growth trajectory makes him a player to monitor. If his efficiency improves and the minutes follow, Furphy could emerge as a multi-category contributor capable of sneaky value as the season progresses. Read Past Outlooks
Scores nine points in spot start
Furphy registered nine points (4-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 21 minutes during Saturday's 142-116 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Furphy received his first start of the season, scoring nine points for the second straight game. Furphy has now played at least 18 minutes in five straight games, an indication that he could be utilized a little more, if and when the Pacers throw in the towel, so to speak. Aaron Nesmith (knee) returned from an 18-game absence and will likely move back into the starting lineup at some point in the near future. There is no reason to go and add Furphy, although he is a name to monitor as the silly season approaches in February and March.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could see larger role
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said Wednesday on The Fan Made Show that people should be excited about Furphy.
ANALYSIS
"He's a seamless fit in our system," Carlisle said. "He runs, he rebounds, he passes it, he moves it, he's a great cutter, he doesn't need the ball to be effective." Furphy was a standout during the Summer League, and Carlisle brought him up unprompted during his interview as someone he expects big things from in 2025-26. He made just 50 regular-season appearances in 2024-25 with 7.6 minutes per night, but he'll have a much bigger path to minutes in his second season.
