2025 Fantasy Outlook
Williams' workload has declined each of the past two seasons, and he started just 36 of his 63 appearances in 2024-25. This finally looks like the season Williams will come off the bench for the vast majority of his games, with Matas Buzelis' strong rookie season likely propelling him to the starting five. Williams has never cracked the top 125 in per-game fantasy value across 8-category leagues, and it seems highly unlikely that will change. Chicago's forward depth is still bad, so Williams could easily still see 20-25 minutes per game, but the chances of him doing anything noteworthy with those minutes are next to none. As harsh as it sounds, he's one of the least valuable rotation players in fantasy basketball, and that includes dynasty leagues. His offensive growth has been minimal, and his defense is more impactful in real life than in fantasy. Read Past Outlooks

Returns to practice
Williams (ankle) was back at practice Thursday, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams left Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, but it must've been a pretty minor setback for the forward. Williams has his work cut out for him with Matas Buzelis pegged for a breakout season in Chicago.

2020
Williams produced another lackluster year in 2023-24, during which he averaged 10.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 combined steals and blocks across 27.3 minutes per game. The forward was plagued by injury last season, playing in only 43 regular-season contests before undergoing a season-ending foot surgery in February. However, Williams is expected to be fully healthy as the Bulls' fall training camp approaches. Selected with the No. 4 overall pick of the 2020 Draft, Williams' career has yet to meet the expectations of fans and fantasy managers. The good news from a fantasy perspective is that the 22-year-old will return to a team without DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso, as the Bulls are embarking on a rebuild. There are also rumors that the club is attempting to trade Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic, which would mean more opportunity for Williams on the offensive side of the ball. After signing a five-year, $90 million deal this offseason, he will aim to rejuvenate his career and prove he can be a top option on a rebuilding squad. At the end of the day, Williams still has a lot to prove and could be a potential late-round target in fantasy drafts.

Non-existent market for him
There has been "zero interest" from teams in a possible Williams trade, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Sidery reports that the Bulls have been actively trying to trade him, but nothing seems remotely close to happening anytime soon. Williams is under contract through 2029 at $18 million per year, making it a very difficult deal to absorb. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Williams is coming off a difficult regular season in which he shot 39.7 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from beyond the arc.
