Hopkins (knee) has committed to St. John's for the 2025-26 season, transferring from Providence, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Hopkins will move from one Big East team to another as he joins the Johnnies for his fifth collegiate season after playing the last three years with Providence. The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 17 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists across just three games this campaign, as he was out for the rest of the year with a knee injury. Regarding his injury now though, Hopkins stated, "My knee is 100 percent now," according to Zach Braziller of the New York Post. This should prime the 2022-23 All-Big East First Team star for an immediate impact role with a talented Red Storm roster that has two starters graduating ahead of next season.
