ANALYSIS
Loyer was outstanding in Purdue's season-opening win over Evansville. Not that the No. 1 team in the nation needed any extra help against its overmatched opponent, but with star forward Trey Kaufman-Renn out, the Boilermakers' guards had to pick up the slack in the scoring department, and Loyer answered that call emphatically. He hit a blistering seven three pointers and was incredibly efficient from all parts of the court. Kaufman-Renn and Braden Smith get a lot of the love in West Lafayette, but don't forget about the senior marksman Loyer.
