ANALYSIS
With the Ducks season opener just over a month out, Shelstad could in theory return in time for the opener against Hawaii, but that seems like a long-shot at this point. More likely, Oregon's star point guard, who averaged 13.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists last year, will miss a handful of games to start the season. In his stead, Takai Simpkins could slide into the starting point guard role, and Jamari Phillips should also see more minutes as well.
