Jeremy Fears

If it weren't for Purdue's Braden Smith, Fears could very well be looking at first-team all-conference honors, as his 8.4 apg average is second in the country (trailing only Smith). Still, he remains the primary point guard for a Michigan State squad that's off to a 17-2 start to the year, and MSU's only two losses (Duke and Nebraska) have a combined 35-1 record so far. In addition to the team success, Fears is posting career-highs in scoring (13.2 ppg) and rebounding (2.5 rpg). Now in his third year with the program and showing tremendous improvement each go-around, Fears is living proof that player development still exists in high-major college basketball.
