Slow start to season
Ashworth accumulated eight points (2-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 33 minutes during Thursday's 69-48 loss to Colorado State.
ANALYSIS
It was a disappointing day for the entire Creighton offense, who mustered a season-low 48 points in the loss to CSU. Ashworth is off to a particularly slow start to the year, as his 8.0 ppg average is less than half of the 16.2 ppg mark he put up at Utah State a season ago. A decrease was to be expected given the plethora of offensive talent on the Creighton roster, but the fact Ashworth has reached double figures just twice in the first six games has been a big letdown for fantasy managers who likely had much higher expectations. On the bright side, Ashworth does have three or more assists in each game this year, in addition to shooting a solid 41.4 percent from distance.
