2023 Fantasy Outlook
Though Will Levis spent a little longer in the green room than expected, he was ultimately selected in the second round of the NFL Draft, which leaves Kentucky with big shoes to fill at the quarterback position. Devin Leary looks to be the man for the job, though, as the four-year starter from NC State moved to the Wildcats in the offseason. Leary is recovering from off-season pectoral surgery, though is expected to be healthy for the season. Leary posted a 35:5 TD:INT in 2021, but missed six games last season due to injury. If healthy, Leary’s status as a four-year collegiate starter will be difficult to ignore, though Kaiya Sheron did perform admirably in relief of the aforementioned Levis in a spot start versus South Carolina last season. Redshirt freshman Destin Wade rounds out the quarterback room for UK. Read Past Outlooks

Ugly stat line despite win
Leary completed 15-of-29 passes for one touchdown and two picks Saturday at Vandy.
ANALYSIS
The Wildcat defense starred in this contest, forcing three interceptions and returning two of them for touchdowns. Leary has thrown at least one touchdown in every game this season, but also an interception in each contest as well. The 4-0 Wildcats could be in for a rude awakening against Florida next weekend.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
Devin Leary heads into 2021 as the Wolfpack’s clear starter after an unbalanced and injury-filled 2020 season. Leary flashed with 336 yards and four touchdowns against Pitt, but followed that up with an uneven 11-of-25, 184 yard outing the next week at Virginia, then committing two turnovers and producing only one score against lowly Duke before suffering a broken leg which required surgical repair. These ebbs and flows mirror Leary’s freshman season where he shows potential before crashing back down, so finding some level of consistency will be Leary’s biggest need. He’s got a solid recruiting pedigree and as high of a ceiling as you’ll find in the ACC’s second-tier of quarterbacks, it’s just a question of whether it comes together weekly. Not helping his cause is a lack of wide receiver talent, but he should see soft secondaries as team’s cheat to stop the ‘Pack’s solid ground game. Leary is likely best served as a matchup dependent target.
