2022 Fantasy Outlook
King was a part of an intense quarterback competition preceding the 2021 season, and this upcoming season looks to be no different. Although King won the title of QB1 last year, the title was stripped away from him after just two games once he fractured his ankle against Colorado. But even though King was able to beat out Zach Calzada for a starting role in 2021, his new teammate turned competitor, Max Johnson, may be an even greater talent that King will have to overcome. Due to his injury early on, King lacks the experience and starting experience of Johnson who started at LSU. What King lacks in experience though, he compensates for with pure athletic ability. The incoming junior could be one of the fastest quarterbacks in the nation and is by far the most athletic QB at Texas A&M. Read Past Outlooks

Lands at Georgia Tech
King announced Sunday that he has committed to Georgia Tech, joining the program as a graduate transfer from Texas A&M, Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Though King opened the 2022 season as the Aggies' starting quarterback after beating out LSU transfer Max Johnson for the gig in fall camp, he eventually ceded the job to freshman Conner Weigman by season's end while Texas A&M endured a turbulent 5-7 campaign. Since he'll be leaving College Station with his degree, King is able to compete immediately for Georgia Tech and should have up to three years of eligibility to use. A heralded recruit from the 2020 cycle, King should have a good chance to emerge as the Yellow Jackets' starting signal-caller after Jeff Sims transferred to Nebraska last month and after neither Zach Pyron (collarbone) or Zach Gibson impressed in their stints directing the Georgia Tech offense. King completed 55.6 percent of his attempts for 1,220 yards, seven touchdowns and six interceptions while adding 83 yards and a touchdown on the ground across his six appearances for Texas A&M in 2022.
