2025 Fantasy Outlook
Smith drew ample buzz leading up to his true freshman campaign, and he certainly didn't disappoint, delivering 76 catches for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns over 16 games en route to a national title. In regards to his regular season, he averaged 4.8 grabs for 77.8 yards and totaled 10 touchdowns over 12 games, certainly keeping his name among the top of the CFF ranks. Gone from last season is starting quarterback Will Howard, but so is star wideout Emeka Egbuka and running backs TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins. Carnell Tate is undoubtedly a talented wideout taking over as the No. 2 in the pecking order, Smith is the clear alpha of this room, and roster turnover abounds elsewhere, so an uptick in Smith's target share and production seems a probable outcome despite some inexperienced under center, where freshman Julian Sayin appears the likely candidate to take the reins. While there is also a change at offensive coordinator, with Brian Hartline set to take over there, Hartline comes from a wide receiver background and was a co-offensive coordinator last season, so the scheme should remain similar. ANALYSIS
For 2025, 144 marks Smith's second-highest number of receiving yards, just under the 153 he logged against Ohio in Week 3. In barely over one-third of OSU's games this season, he logged zero touchdowns, and the Big Ten Championship matchup is among them.
