Returning to Ole Miss
Watkins will return to Mississippi for his final year of eligibility, 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
While there was some speculation Watkins would transfer, he instead will return to Ole Miss to play out his final collegiate season. It's a significant boost for the Rebels offense, as Watkins tallied 741 yards and three touchdowns on 53 receptions this year while also handling return duties.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Watkins is presumably taking over as one of the the top wide receivers on a Mississippi team that thrived off of the offensive combination of wideout Dontario Drummond and quarterback Matt Corral last season. Drummond was responsible for 1,028 of Ole Miss’ receiving yards last season, but with his departure it opens up many more opportunities for Watkins. The 5-foot-11, 190 pound receiver has spent his last two seasons at Louisville where he totalled 529 yards, 35 receptions and four touchdowns in 2021. Watkins’ battle for the Rebels’ WR1 spot will likely be with Jonathan Mingo who received less yards than Watkins last season with 346, but has a chance to be a real contender now that there is less competition for the position.
