Spears (hamstring) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

This is a step in the right direction for Spears after he logged three DNPs leading up to his Week 7 absence against the Bills. If Spears ultimately gains clearance to suit up Sunday in Detroit, he would likely reclaim a change-of-pace role behind Tony Pollard in Tennessee's backfield.
