2025 Fantasy Outlook
Key has spent the last two seasons in Tennessee and posted nearly identical stat lines. The Titans rely on him as a key pass rusher, as only Jeffery Simmons logged more snaps in the role on the team in 2024. While consistent, Key isn't a standout producer as he has never tallied more than 6.5 sacks. He did log a career-best 42 total tackles in 2024, though that was likely due to the Tennessee defense facing a run-heavy game script from opposing offenses in 2024. Read Past Outlooks
Missing second consecutive game
Key (quadriceps) won't play Sunday against the Patriots, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Key will miss a second consecutive game due to the injury he sustained in Tennessee's Week 5 win over the Cardinals. Jaylen Harrell is set to fill in at linebacker against New England.

Key has been a pass-rush specialist throughout his career, and Tennessee relied on him heavily in his first year with the team in 2023. That led to the second-best sack total of his career (6.0) and his fourth consecutive season getting double-digit hits on the quarterback. From an IDP perspective, it's difficult to become invested in Key's skill profile because he is rarely used in coverage and also not typically on the field for traditional running downs. That has served to limit his overall volume throughout his career.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be trade target
Key is one of the few Tennessee players who might be a target for contenders at the trade deadline, Jonathan Jones of CBSSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 1-6 Titans don't have a lot of talent other clubs might be calling about, but Key could be an exception after racking up 14.0 sacks over two-plus seasons in Nashville, including 1.5 in five games so far this season. The 49ers, who have had plenty of injuries on defense this year, and the Lions could both have interest in the 29-year-old edge rusher.
