Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Dolphins have one of the more unproven and potentially weakest secondaries in the league. Nevertheless, Davis currently projects to be one of the key members of the unit after joining the team on a modest one year, $2.5 million contract. He has played under 400 defensive snaps in four of his five NFL seasons, but he has still shown strong playmaking ability with eight career interceptions and four forced fumbles. Davis is hardly secure in his projected expanded role, but the Dolphins lack quality depth at safety, making him a breakout candidate based on his projected increased role. Read Past Outlooks
Gets tagged as questionable
Davis (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Patriots, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Davis was limited at practice all week with a knee issue, and now his availability for Week 2 seems close to a coin-flip proposition. If he can't play Sunday, it could mean veteran Elijah Campbell gets called on to play some snaps at safety.

Davis re-signed with the Jets in the offseason and will likely operate as the team's top backup safety in 2024 behind starters Chuck Clark and Tony Adams. The speedy Davis started five games last season and set career highs with three interceptions among his eight passes defensed.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Uphill battle for roster spot
Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic predicts that Davis won't be included on the Jets' 53-man roster for Week 1.
ANALYSIS
Davis' speed has made him a valuable special teams contributor, but the backup safety didn't play more than five defensive snaps in any game last season. Rosenblatt believes rookie sixth-round pick Jarrick Bernard-Converse will edge out Davis for the backup strong safety spot, and undrafted free agent addition Trey Dean will also be in the running for a roster spot.
