2025 Fantasy Outlook
Jackson's development is a success story for offensive line coach Butch Barry, and the 2020 first-rounder is now Miami's longest-tenured player along the O-line, making him a de facto leader in the locker room. While closer to league-average than being a true standout at right tackle and being admittedly more capable in the run game than as a pass blocker, Jackson is one of the closest players this unit has to being a pillar, along with C Aaron Brewer. RG James Daniels performance level is a wild card, considering his recovery from an Achilles tear. Read Past Outlooks
Expected to miss Week 2
The Dolphins are preparing to be without Jackson (toe) in Sunday's Week 2 matchup against the Jets, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson exited the Dolphins' Week 1 loss to the Colts due to a toe injury, and it's starting to appear as if he can't play through the issue Sunday. With Jackson likely out and James Daniels (pectoral) being placed injured reserve, Miami is expected to start Larry Borom and Kion Smith and right tackle and guard, respectively.

Jackson, a 2020 first-round pick, got off to a rough start in his NFL career, but he's developed into a reliable starter at RT, with Terron Armstead acting as a pillar on the left side. The presence of rookie tackle Patrick Paul alleviates some pressure on Jackson for 2024.

In battle for starting job
Jackson picked up competition for the starting right tackle spot when the Dolphins signed Isaiah Wynn to a one-year contract Sunday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was a first-round pick in 2020 but struggled on the left side of the line before getting flipped to right tackle last year, when the 23-year-old played only two games due to multiple ankle injuries. Wynn has had plenty of health concerns during his career as well, though, so the winner of the competition could end up being the one who can actually stay on the field. Jackson is expected to be fully healthy for the start of training camp.
