September 10, 2024
The Buccaneers placed Hall (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hall's placement on IR only officially rules him out for the next four games, but the dislocated ankle and fractured fibula in his right leg he suffered Week 1 is expected to keep the depth cornerback out for the remainder of the season. He appeared in nine regular-season games for the Jets last year.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2022
2021
Hall was the Jets' No. 1 cornerback by default last season and held his own, totaling 79 tackles and 16 passes defensed. The team's improved cornerback depth may push the 2020 fifth-round pick to a bench role, though. New York drafted Ahmad Gardner fourth overall and signed D.J. Reed, so Hall will either have to shift to the inside or leave the field in most packages if he fails to win a starting spot on the outside.
Hall was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 draft but would have gone substantially earlier if not for a serious ankle injury, which also cost him the first eight games of his rookie season. He started seven of eight games after returning and will compete for a starting cornerback role with the Jets in 2021.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Unfazed by offseason competition
CBNew York Jets
July 23, 2022
Hall is not concerned about his likely competition with rookie Ahmad Gardner for the Jets' starting cornerback spot this coming season, saying, "I really try not to worry about what everybody else is doing, but just try to be the best me," Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old spent voluntary OTAs working with the starting defense despite the team's addition of Gardner, who was selected with the fourth overall pick in this year's draft. Hall recorded 14 pass breakups while starting all 17 games for the Jets in 2021. The cornerback is approaching his third NFL season and should provide an experienced option within the Jets' secondary whether he plays a starting role or not.
