2024 Fantasy Outlook
Okonkwo got plenty of sleeper hype heading into 2023 after topping 40 yards in six of the last 10 games of his 2022 rookie season. His sophomore year ended up being similar to his rookie campaign, at least in terms of timing of his production, as he didn’t reach 40 yards in a game until Week 11 but then had at least 34 yards in each of the final seven games (in addition to scoring his lone touchdown of 2023 in Week 15). At 6-3, 238, Okonkwo is one of the league's smaller tight ends but also one of the fastest (4.52 40). The 2022 fourth-round pick hasn't exactly been reliable early in his career, dropping nine of 123 targets (7.3 percent). On the other hand, Okonkwo showed promising chemistry with quarterback Will Levis down the stretch last season, and he should get plenty of single coverage with wide receivers Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins drawing most of the defense’s attention. Those two also figure to get a large portion of the targets, but Tennessee seems to be heading in a more pass-heavy direction post-Derrick Henry, potentially setting the stage for Okonkwo to take another step forward. One catch in win
Okonkwo recorded one catch on three targets for five yards in Monday's 31-12 win over the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
It was another quiet performance for Okonkwo, although he did match his season high in targets. While he out-targeted Josh Whyle 3-1, Okonkwo is still an afterthought for fantasy purposes.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2023
2022
Okonkwo is coming off a strong finish to his rookie season, and the 2022 fourth-round pick out of Maryland should get plenty of opportunities this year on a Titans team that lacks weapons in the passing game. After recording only eight catches over his first 10 games, Okonkwo became much more involved in the second half of his rookie campaign, catching at least three passes in six of the last seven games for a total of 24 catches for 278 yards and two touchdowns on 31 targets over that span. Chig played more than half of Tennessee's offensive snaps only twice as a rookie while working behind Austin Hooper, but with Hooper having left for Vegas in free agency, Okonkwo's poised for a significant bump in playing time in his sophomore season, especially if he can improve his blocking. Tennessee's offense is built around the running game, but wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks are the only players likely to command more targets than the 6-foot-2, 244-pound Okonkwo when the Titans turn to the air.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Breakout tight end in 2024?
Despite a disappointing 2023 season, Jake Ciely of The Athletic lists Okonkwo as one of his five breakout candidates at tight end in the upcoming year.
ANALYSIS
Okonkwo was primed to take the sophomore leap after breaking out in his rookie campaign in 2022, registering 27 catches for 398 yards and two touchdowns over the last 10 games of the regular season. While his numbers improved in 2023, it wasn't the uptick in production fans were hoping for, as the team struggled to find consistency at quarterback. Will Levis is the unquestioned starter in 2024, and Ciely points out that the second-year quarterback's aggression downfield in a new system under head coach Brian Callahan should give Okonkwo - who averaged 14.1 yards per reception as a rookie -- the chance to be a legitimate deep threat in the passing game.
