West was the second of two interior defensive linemen that the 49ers snagged through the first four rounds of this year's draft. While Alfred Collins (43rd pick, second round) was selected ahead of West, both rookies check in north of 6-feet tall and well over 300 pounds apiece. West, in particular, moves well for his size without sacrificing the strength to push pockets back. That said, run-stopping DTs do not translate well statistically for IDP fantasy purposes. Starting out at Kent State, West finished at Indiana and showed he could move up a weight class and still produce, as he was a big part of a Hoosier team that made an amazing run to the College Football Playoff.
