2025 Fantasy Outlook
Lawrence was limited to 12 games in 2024 due to a dislocated elbow, but that didn't stop him from maintaining his status as one of the top interior defensive linemen in the league. Despite the limited snaps, he finished tied for 11th in total run stuffs with 25 (per PFF) while logging a career-high nine sacks. The latter could be in jeopardy to dip in 2025 by looking at just his pressure rate and total quarterback hits, but the Giants have built an impressive front on their defense, particularly with the addition of Abdul Carter and Brian Burns in the last two years. Offenses won't be able to focus exclusively on Lawrence as a result, meaning there's a convergence of talent and circumstance that should allow him to deliver another excellent fantasy campaign. Available in Week 5
Lawrence (illness) is active for Sunday's game in New Orleans, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite not practicing in any capacity during Week 5 prep due to an illness, Lawrence will be available to the Giants defense Sunday. Whether he'll be able to handle his typical workload of roughly two thirds of the defensive snaps remains to be seen, but he's managed just nine tackles and the first interception of his seven-year career through four contests this season.

The Giants gave Lawrence a four-year, $90 million contract prior to last season and were rewarded with another All-Pro and Pro Bowl campaign from the 340-pound nose tackle. He doesn't quite rack up sacks - he had 4.5 last season and 7.5 the year prior - but he consistently uses his immense power and surprising agility to overwhelm the interior of opposing offensive lines. Lawrence has emerged as one of the truly elite defensive linemen in the game and should continue to cement that status for years to come.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Brushes off criticism of play
Lawrence dismissed recent criticism about his play from former Giants linebacker and franchise legend Carl Banks, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Banks also serves as a radio analyst for the Giants and has a weekly podcast with play-by-play announcer Bob Papa, which is where the former made his critical comments. Banks said "Dexter Lawrence, nobody respects you anymore" in reference to Lawrence's current level of play. The veteran defensive lineman, who Raanan points out is getting double-teamed on pass rushes at a league-high 74.9 percent rate, brushed off Banks' comments, saying "he's delusional" and emphasizing he feels he's playing well this season.
