2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Commanders hit it big when they signed Luvu and Bobby Wagner last offseason, immediately turning one of the league's worst LB groups into one of the best. Luvu was especially impressive, earning second-team All-Pro honors behind 99 tackles, including 8.0 sacks, and seven pass defenses. He also had a hand in four turnovers, including two fumble recoveries, and he started all 17 games for a second straight year (having previously accomplished the feat for Carolina). While Wagner remains the favorite to lead the team in tackles, Luvu is a constant big-play threat in the middle of Washington's defense. Read Past Outlooks
Career-best 8.0 sacks in 2024
Luvu totaled 99 tackles (54 solo), including 8.0 sacks, across 17 regular-season games with the Commanders in 2024. He also had seven passes defensed, including one interception, plus one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
ANALYSIS
Luvu impressed as a pass rusher in his inaugural campaign with Washington, playing a key every-down role (and a career-high 1,005 snaps on defense) in the Commanders' scheme. The 28-year-old has two years remaining on his deal with the team and is a strong candidate to retain solid IDP value for the 2025 campaign.

2021
Luvu is a key piece of Washington's defensive makeover under new coach Dan Quinn, coming over from Carolina after his two seasons as a full-time starter yielded 236 tackles and 12.5 sacks. His background as an edge rusher has been evident in his massive pass-rushing production as a blitzing off-ball linebacker, and it now seems borderline criminal that Luvu spent the first four years of his career coming off the bench. That won't be an issue in Washington, though he'll probably only be the second- or third-leading tackler for a defense that also signed LB Bobby Wagner and S Jeremy Chinn this spring.

On track for first Pro Bowl?
Coming off a career season, Luvu figures to be on track to earn a spot on the 2024 Pro Bowl roster for the first time in his career, Conor Orr of SI.com argues.
ANALYSIS
After splitting his snaps between defense and special teams over the first four years of his career, Luvu registered 100-plus tackles in each of the last two years as a full-time starter, including a career-high 125 tackles, along with 5.5 sacks, five pass deflections and two forced fumbles in 2023. Luvu signed a three-year, $36 million contract with the Commanders in March, and he will play alongside veteran Bobby Wagner at inside linebacker and under head coach Dan Quinn, who spent the last three seasons leading a dominant Cowboys defense as the defensive coordinator.
