Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Delpit has had a consistent role with the Browns since his second season as a pro (2021), with his stats primarily fluctuating based on his ability to stay on the field. He suited up for 16 games and managed a career-best 111 total tackles in 2024, though his overall level of play suffered. For example, he allowed a 123.5 passer rating against and a career-worst three touchdowns. All of that won't matter even if it repeats in 2025, as Delpit is locked in as the starting strong safety in Cleveland with minimal competition behind him. Read Past Outlooks
Recovers fumble in Week 5 loss
Delpit logged four tackles (one solo), one pass defense and one fumble recovery during Cleveland's 21-17 loss to Minnesota on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Delpit jumped on a loose ball early in the first quarter, and that turnover led to a Dillon Gabriel one-yard touchdown pass to Harold Fannin seven plays later. Delpit has opened the 2025 regular season with 27 tackles (16 solo) and three pass defenses (one interception) through five games.

Delpit, who agreed to a three-year, $36 million contract extension with the Browns last December, is coming off a 2023 regular season in which he recorded 80 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a pick in 13 contests. Now that he's presumably past the groin injury that cost him four outings down the stretch and kept him from reaching the 100-tackle plateau for the second straight campaign, the 2020 second-rounder is poised to maintain his key role in the Browns secondary, where he'll man the team's starting strong safety spot. In that capacity, Delpit should continue to produce IDP-worthy numbers, so long as he can stay on the field.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Dropping to second round?
Delpit is projected to be taken by the Bears with the 43rd overall pick (second round) in the latest mock draft by Chad Reuter of NFL.com.
ANALYSIS
The LSU product enjoyed a standout final two college seasons, garnering consensus All-American honors as both a sophomore and junior and securing the Jim Thorpe Award as college football's top defensive back in 2019. Delpit boasts prototypical size at 6-foot-2, 213 pounds, and he's been considered first-round-worthy in multiple mock drafts this spring. Chicago does make sense as a potential destination, however, considering Deon Bush, who's spent his first four seasons as a reserve, currently sits atop the Bears' strong safety depth chart.
