25-Year-Old Wide ReceiverWR

2025 Fantasy Outlook
A seventh-round pick in 2023, Brooks has done well to carve out an NFL role for himself. He caught his first NFL touchdown last season while also seeing regular special-teams duty, but Brooks hauled in multiple passes only once, and the addition of George Pickens will make it even more difficult for him to make an impact. While a healthy Dak Prescott would improve the performance of the entire Cowboys passing game, that production may not trickle down to Brooks. Read Past Outlooks

Brooks (hip) played 25 snaps on offense and caught his lone pass for 11 yards during the Cowboys' 31-13 preseason loss to the Ravens on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was working through a hip injury leading up to Saturday's game but was cleared to play after going through pregame warmups without suffering a setback. The 2023 seventh-rounder is battling for a spot on Dallas' 53-man roster, but it's worth noting that he didn't play a single snap on special teams after playing six in the Cowboys' preseason opener against the Rams. Brooks' last chance to audition for a roster spot is in Friday's preseason finale against the Cardinals.

2023
A seventh-round pick in 2023, Brooks saw little action as a rookie, but he did what he could with his opportunities and caught all six of his targets, with four of them coming in a Week 10 rout of the Giants. Michael Gallup is now a Raider, leaving the Cowboys' No. 3 receiver job open, and Brooks will head into training camp competing with Jalen Tolbert and others for the available snaps. Brooks doesn't offer much in terms of speed or sharp route running, but his size and strength could make him an occasional red-zone target.
A seventh-round pick in 2023, Brooks wasn't very productive in college and lacks standout speed or agility, but his size, strength and ability to bully his way to 50-50 balls could allow him to carve out a role in the NFL as a chain-mover and red-zone option. With Noah Brown now in Houston, Dallas has an opening for a physical depth receiver who can contribute as a run blocker and made contested catches, a job Brooks seems well-suited for.

June 25, 2024
Brooks is competing with Jalen Tolbert to serve as the Cowboys' third receiver in 2024, Todd Archer of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Michael Gallup departed this offseason and the Cowboys made no significant additions to their wide receiver corps, leaving the depth chart behind CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks unsettled. Tolbert and Brooks have both have gotten positive reviews to this point in the offseason, with Brooks getting praise for his ability to work in short areas and excel on slant routes. He played only 74 offensive snaps in 2023, his rookie season.
