2025 Fantasy Outlook
Greenard's career got off to a mixed start across his first three years in Houston, but after breaking out with 12.5 sacks in 2023 with the Texans he parlayed his way into a massive multi-year deal with Minnesota, then repeated with 12.0 sacks for the Vikings last season. With any concerns about Greenard being a one-year wonder having been put to rest, he looks like a safe bet to continue dancing with double-digit sacks as long as defensive coordinator Brian Flores remains with the Vikings. Questionable for Sunday

November 28, 2025
Greenard (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Greenard logged limited practices throughout the week, making five consecutive limited practices since he left the Week 10 game against the Ravens with a shoulder injury. The consistent stringing together of practices means there is a good chance the weakside linebacker is able to suit up for Sunday's game. If Greenard can't go, Dallas Turner is in line for the same uptick in defensive snaps that he saw in Week 11 and Week 12.

2022
Greenard put together a career year in 2023 with 52 tackles (36 solo), 15 tackles for a loss, 12.5 sacks and a forced fumble with the Texans. He then signed a four-year, $72 million contract with Minnesota. The Vikings will be counting on him as a key pass rusher on the edge and hope he can avoid the injuries that caused him to miss 17 games in his first three seasons.
Greenard was limited to eight games in 2022 due to a calf injury and recorded just 1.5 sacks after leading the Texans the previous season with eight. The addition of Jerry Hughes (nine sacks) helped fill the void, and he's back along with 2023 third-overall pick Will Anderson. Greenard enters the fourth and final year of his rookie deal, and the end should be motivated for his next contract. He or Hughes will start at one end, but the playing time could tilt toward the 26-year-old Greenard, as the 35-year-old Hughes wore down in the second half.
Perhaps it’s not sustainable over a bigger workload, but Greenard was extremely productive on 398 snaps last year, generating eight sacks for a Texans team that was almost always trailing. A foot injury derailed the second half of Greenard’s 2021 season – he posted all eight of his sacks from Week 3 to Week 12, and he might have breezed past double-digit sacks if not for suffering the injury in Week 11.

First Pro Bowl on horizon?
LBMinnesota Vikings
June 23, 2024
After a career year with the Texans in 2023, Greenard is in a good position to earn his first Pro Bowl nomination this season, Conor Orr of SI.com believes.
ANALYSIS
Entering his fifth pro campaign, Greenard is coming off a productive 2023, when he registered 52 tackles, including 12.5 sacks, two pass deflections and one forced fumble over 15 regular-season games. His sack total last season was tied for 10th in the league with Montez Sweat. Greenard's output last season earned him a four-year, $72 million contract with the Vikings in March, and Orr believes the 2020 third-round pick out of Florida will take his play up a level in the scheme of defensive coordinator Brian Flores.
