2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Rams stuck with Karty for all of 2024 after picking him in the sixth round, ultimately receiving what amounted to league-average performance. He made 85.3 percent of his field-goal attempts, including six of seven from 50-plus yards, but missed four of 36 PATs. Karty was perfect during two playoff games, including a snowy one at Philadelphia, all but locking down the kicker job for another year. The position has been a problem spot for the Rams in recent years, but there have also been a bunch of seasons under Sean McVay in which the team ranked at/near the top of the league in field-goal attempts or PATs. Catches on with Arizona
The Cardinals signed Karty off the Rams' practice squad Tuesday, Darren Urban of Arizona's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Karty lost out of the Rams' kicking job after missing five of 15 field-goal attempts through the first eight games of the season, but the 23-year-old has converted at a more palatable 79.6 percent clip through his first two NFL campaigns. The Rams thought enough of Karty to stash him on their practice squad once he cleared waivers in late November, but the Cardinals will bring him aboard and see if he can provide an upgrade over Chad Ryland in the kicking game. Expect the two to compete for the Cardinals' kicking duties throughout Week 17 prep in advance of Sunday's game in Cincinnati, after Ryland missed field-goal tries of 50 and 44 yards in a Week 16 loss to Atlanta.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
The Rams used a supplementary 2024 sixth-round pick on Karty, who converted 85.0 percent of field-goal attempts and 98.6 percent of PATs in three seasons as Stanford's kicker. He went 23 of 27 on three-point tries his final season, including just one miss inside of 50 yards. Karty is set up to compete with 2023 UDFA Tanner Brown for the Rams' kicker job -- a position that could come with plenty of volume given the talent Los Angeles has on offense. The Rams led the league in field-goal attempts (43) and misses (nine) last season, with Brett Maher and Lucas Havrisik both failing to impress while getting ample volume.
